2025.1.23 コントラバス演奏者として感じた「できることをやろう」

2025.1.23 As a double bass player, I felt: "Let's do what we can do."

As a contrabass player since high school, I have always felt that there is no limit to improving. While I don't consider myself a particularly skilled musician, I constantly strive to "get better and improve more."

An orchestra is, so to speak, a team sport. A cohesive performance reflects the performers' excellent technical skills. The lead players (called "top players") guide the entire performance, and skilled musicians can play in harmony with the top players, thus delivering a high-quality performance.

There was a time after I entered the workforce when I stepped away from music, but as I went about my daily life, I realized, "I really want to seriously pursue music again." I started to approach it with a relaxed mindset, thinking, "I won't obsess over it, but I'll do what I can within my means." By facing my true feelings, I rediscovered my love for music.

That realization still holds true for me today, allowing me to approach my work with a neutral perspective. As a product provider, I aspire to be like the top players in an orchestra.
